First Day of 2026 at Aiko

We welcomed 2026 at Aiko the traditional way, gathering our children, families and teachers to start the year together.

The morning began with the boiling of milk, a custom that wishes everyone a year overflowing with prosperity, followed by the first work of the new year.

Then it was time to share kokis, kavum, kiribath and cake, with plenty of smiles and good wishes all round. Happy New Year from all of us at Aiko!
