From a small beginning as a daycare and activity center to becoming a comprehensive childcare solution, our journey has been guided by our commitment to excellence in early childhood education and care.

Savithri Suduge, Founder and Managing Director

Our Story

I’m Savithri Suduge, and I currently work as a Child Care Centre Director in Australia, where I continue to expand my experience and knowledge in early childhood education. With over 18 years of experience, including working in Japan’s daycare centres and preschools, I’ve always wanted to create a place where children can feel loved, safe, and free to grow.

When I returned to Sri Lanka, I couldn’t find a daycare that felt like home—a place where children could develop emotionally, socially, and physically. So, I decided to create it myself, and that’s how Aiko Child Care was born. At Aiko, we believe in nurturing every child’s creativity, independence, and well-being. Our programs focus on the whole child, not just academics, and we are proud to follow our four key pillars: Nature, Wellbeing, Inclusivity, and Sustainability.

Today, Aiko Child Care cares for over 100 children, with a team of 30 passionate educators who share my vision. Every step we take is to provide a safe, loving, and supportive environment for children to thrive.

Our Milestones

2019: Launched Aiko Day Care and Activities Centre
2020: Expanded with The Cubby House
2021: Introduced Aiko Play Group
2022: Opened Aiko Babies and Toddlers Infant Section
2023: Added Aiko Home Visit and Nanny Services
2024: Launched Aiko Model House and established Aiko Teacher and Childcare Training School, offering NVQ Level 4 certificates and diplomas in preschool education and daycare management.

About Me

I’m passionate about creating spaces where children can feel safe, loved, and inspired. With a strong background in early childhood education, I’ve dedicated my career to supporting both children and educators in their growth. Leading Aiko gives me the chance to help children thrive and give them the best start in life, both in Sri Lanka and through my work in Australia, where I continue to learn and grow as an educator.
